Set up your button

Step 1

Your private links

Anyone with these links can raise an alert for you, so don't share them. If one leaks, make new links at the bottom of this page.

Step 2

Flic button (Flic 2 or Flic Duo)

1. Install the Flic app from the App Store (version 6.0.4 or newer) and pair the button.
2. Tap the button in the app, then tap Push (single click) and choose Internet Request.
3. Set the method to POST, paste your Help link as the URL, and switch on Send location.
4. Do the same for Hold with your Silent alert link, and for Double push with your Cancel link.
5. On a Flic Duo, set the second button the same way, or leave it for something else.
6. In iPhone Settings → Flic, allow Location Always and Bluetooth, and keep Background App Refresh on.

Push = help. Hold = silent alert. Double push = cancel, but only during the 10-second window before anything is sent. After that, cancel in this app with your PIN.

Step 3 (optional)

“Hey Siri, ProSafe help”

1. Open the Shortcuts app and tap + for a new shortcut.
2. Add the action Get Current Location.
3. Add Get Contents of URL. Paste your Help link. Tap the arrow to show more and set Method to POST, Request Body to JSON.
4. Add two fields: lat = Current Location → Latitude and lng = Current Location → Longitude.
5. Name the shortcut ProSafe help. Say “Hey Siri, ProSafe help” to use it, or put it on the iPhone Action button or Lock Screen.

Make a second shortcut called “ProSafe silent” with the Silent alert link if you want a quiet option.

Step 4

Test it

Press your button now. ProSafe records each press here, so you can see it arrived and whether a location came with it. A real press does alert your circle, so tap your Cancel gesture or use a practice drill from Home.

“Text me a test” only texts you. Your circle isn't contacted.

Make new links

Your old links stop working straight away. You'll need to paste the new ones into the Flic app and your shortcuts.
